MOST AMERICANS DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE 2020 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

COVID-19 has caused a lot of damage on multiple levels not only in the United States but around the entire world. Massive amounts of people have been laid off, furloughed from their employers. Companies are going out of business, reducing hours, of employees, and constantly being restructured in 2020. As of recent Disney amusement parks laid off 28,000 workers stating that because of the COVID-19 slowdown and states unwillingness to lift restrictions. Most recent news American Airlines and United Airlines have cut more than 30,000 jobs. Because fewer and fewer people are flying, and more family and business communication is happening more via the internet. Another thing to take into consideration is that more local hotels and rental car companies are booming financially because more people are taking local road trips within a three to four hour radius of their current residence. As more jobs and businesses are eliminated more people are going to lose their health insurance during the COVID-19 economy. Congress did give businesses like the airlines billions of dollars in order to sustain them and prevent massive layoffs. Which was in the United States U.S. best interest. Anything that is legal and keeps people working is a good thing in my book. Universities like the University of Delaware made a multitude of layoffs due to a 250 million budget gap.

In 2020 there is still a multitude of employers hiring right now, but uncertainty is growing amongst a lot of Americans which is one of the reasons why consumer spending is down in 2020. Companies like Amazon and other retail grocery chains are hiring, however, most of those positions are low-paying jobs while savings are down and people's debts are going up. I say all of these things for a multitude of reasons. Most of today's society whether they consider themselves a Republican, Democrat, or Independent can clearly see that economic uncertainty is growing for most working Americans. And because of the uncertainty, no matter who wins the 2020 Presidential election.

If the majority of the American population is in 50,000 to 100,000 of high-interest loans and growing. Also along with massive credit card debts are rising for families to remain sustainable. Actual livable retirement pensions are becoming a thing of the past for the non-financially literate within the U.S. Meaning if workers are not constantly educating themselves pertaining to the stock market, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA’s), Mutual Funds, Insurance Plans, Bonds, etc. Then more and more people will have no choice but to work until they die.

There are still a significant amount of employers that are hiring in 2020 however, it all depends on not only the education one has obtained, but the skill sets that one can offer an employer.

Here is a list of employers hiring in 2020 from Monsterjobs.com

  1. SenText Solutions
  2. Henkel Corp.
  3. XPO Logistics, INC

The bottom line is that no matter whether if Joe Biden or Donald Trump wins the election. If the American public does not learn how to do more with less and become more financially literate not only within their families but within their communities. Then the future is looking very bleak for most, and very good for some aka the percentage of the population that place economics on the same level as entertainment.
